Cut 380mm out of the 2" zorst pipe and MIG welded a hot doggie in there. It sounds more civilized now. :P
Now, to shut that 45 Dellorto up a bit somehow... :roll:

Jacked up the clubman and checked out the steering rack
Sadly another pommie rack bite the dust
Now to remove it and replace with a good Aussie rack, thanks Doc

They just don't make new racks like they used to. `Made in UK' racks wouldn't be so bad if you could still buy repair bits for em...
But the current new racks made in `notUK' are rubbish. :lol:

Took it out for a nice drive to dinner, as usual bumped into someone who wanted to chat about their Mini they had when they were younger, I love the conversations it starts :)

Took out the crappy pommie rack and put in the nicely recoed rack from the Doc.
So Doc what do I do with the pommie rack? Just scrap?

Thanks to all the help from today, i got my Motolita steering wheel on. Hopefully my local nut n bolt place will be able to match the missing screw from the boss.

Take the bearings out (if still good) and bin the rest.:mrgreen:

Got my mini back from the Safety Cert Inspection... :o

L/h Inner CV Boot
R/h CV Boot clamp
Tie rod end lock nuts loose
Raplce L/h/f/ bump stop
R/h mirror
Windscreen washer jets
Number plate lights
No horn
R/h front seat belt frayed
relocate fuel filter and secure
Rear rail lights fadded
adjust front wheel bearing
rear suspension bellows
rear rims buckled
Rust in floor front left
" Boot
" Left sill

... the bloke didn't know that how to opperate the horn..
