My back seat is cracked at the top and I was thinking about getting it retrimmed. Does anyone sell the vinyl trim as a complete part so I can remove my trim and fit a whole new seat covering?

Try newtons commercial in the uk if your looking for a complete kit. They are pretty good to deal with.

They look good but how hard were they to fit? Do you need any special tools or do they just slip over and zip up?

Fitting was easy.

Cause they make so many of them, the fits spot on. They obviously have jigs and templetes etc.

To fit, I unhooked the clips underneath and just slid them off. I then rearranged the "wading" to make sure it was in place, and pulled the new covers on. There was a simple instruction sheet too.

Only trick is, make sure the "wading" is sitting proud on the front corners, so it fills the corner gusset without wrinkles. You can spray a little areosol contact here n there to stop the wading moving if it needs.

There are little flat clips underneath you reuse. There are also some wire clips (a ring which you crush) which holds the straps that wrap around the frame. The rear seats are similar.

Once you strip em down, it is amazing how simple they are.


With the Aus dollar at present, you would be supprised how cheap it is. You can email questions to their site.

I went to Bunnings and bought a bag of the wire clips and the pliers that crush them. They were very cheap. Look in the area where the fencing stuff is. The clips are a open round bit of wire. You put a clip in the plier jaws and squeeze it. It "rolls" the clip up. I think farmers use them to join wire fencing etc.

Also, I asked for a 12" offcut to do my back window shelf.

Thanks for your answer, but what is a 12 inch offset? Do you mean cover the parcel shelf with vinyl?

A 12" "OFFCUT". That is, a peice of the matching trim off the roll, to stick on the back window shelf plyboard (where the speakers go)

This matches into the rear seat trim to make it look pretty!
