Drove the new mini to work to check for any issues prior to a longer drive at the weekend. :) :)
Goes very well, although slightly more noisy than I would have liked, but hey it's a mini.

It also really does need the Supercharger......

Replaced the front suspension with -1.5° fixed lower arms and adjustable tiebars.
Not driven it yet but it looks better.

Drove him to drop some stuff off at a mates (around 5km) started to sound funny and 'out' got him back home, totally forgot to tighten the head when warm last week, so, re-torqued head to 42ft, adjusted tappets to .017", played with the idle smoooooth as a nut now...
also booked him in for a wheel alignment first thing tomorrow morning :)

Well we yancked the old donk out. Took 5min mind you the bonnet was already off as was everting else in the engine bay.

Now all we have to do is paint engine bay & every other part of the car (I'm not keen on "SAM BROWN" )

I prefer ORANGE (we have 4Lt) but the owner (my 11yrold) wants light blue.

then rewire
then install new(good 2nd hand 998)
then replace breaks
then upolstery (all of it)
Then reinstall glass
etc etc
:?

Sorted out the shocks on my buggy and dropped an engine in it. Also started to work on the sheeting the body so all those nasty rocks and pointy sticks don't come near me and my unlucky passenger.

angled the rear shocks forward a bit to make them "compress" in a straight line.

[edit] Oops and also I gave it a bath...

There used to be a Jesters Pies near me, but they shut up shop.
When I googled to find their nearest one now, it's in Kalgoolie!

Cut out and welded in a less perforated floor on the passenger side. Came within 2 millimetres of cutting right through the brake pipe under the floor, because I didn't think to check under before started the angle grinder. A lesson cheaply learned...
