Hi all. I'm sitting in Barney and we are going nowhere. Two days ago we were cruising along and then we came to a stop almost like running out if fuel. Five minutes later he started an ran beautifully. New coil on last night thinking it was spark related. Now I've got a new GREEN light coming on under the 80 on the speedo. Wtf????? Running a pulsar dizzy so could it be a condenser? I managed to restart briefly but it sounded like it was running on three. Now it just cranks over. Any ideas?

No condenser in a Pulsar electronic dizzy.
As said on phone, I would start by spraying dizzy cap inside and out with WD40, wipe dry and spray (lightly) again.
If Pulsar dizzys fail (I've only seen 1 do this) it's the module, and you get no sparkys at all.
The Hitachi module is pretty bulletproof compared to others.

Sounds like mine when my fuel pump ate itself. Is your filter clean and holding fuel?

Evan told me fuel delivery was tested and is fine.

What'd the green light have to do with it?

I thought these dizzies were pretty much bullet proof in the wet !
I have one of these dizzies modded , to go in my car , but after driving through a bloody big storm , with a sh!t load of running water across the road , my car didn't even look like stopping ( but i was waiting for it ) , i might have to re- consider fitting it .

Goodie,
They are bulletproof, but not if there is any moisture in there.
Although there is a rubber seal under the cap (if still there), there is a vent provided in some caps.
I remove and spray mine with WD40 once a year, never had any trouble since. I can hose it whilst it's running- without any cover over the dizzy. 8)

[edit] I use an unvented Bosch GH617 cap.

Love to see that . If its waterproof it's bulletproof.

I run one of those red bull coils too 8)

On a mini i recently brought back to life i put on a new cap and bosch plug leads, i assured the owner that it will be fine in the wet by hosing down the plugs leads and dizzy while running, didn't miss a beat.

A good cap and leads are a must.
