Well didnt do much to a specific mini just did alot of cleaning and fiddling with little bits and pieces... I didnt actually realise how much crap i had accumulated over the last couple of years. Time to get rid of and sell most of it... :?

Well here goes what i did today :D

I started to fiddle with alice and put some seatbelts in it. I was having trouble putting them in due to one of the bolts that holds the seat belt mounting brackets on was frozen stiff... Nothing an oxy torch and some swear words didnt fix though

Image

finnaly got them in... :D
Has anyone tryed to remove inertia reels from a panel van before??? its bloody almost impossible.

Found this bad boy from a pile of moke stuff i had... Stripped it and painted it. Ready to be retrimed. Came up very nicely for a home compressor job

Image

Stole some bits of dads Cooper S for alice. He wont notice will he?

Image

Found 123 grosso's new battery box... Guess where it was? Holding up the rear of the Nota fang  8)

Image

Got half of my clubby back to bare metal and covered in Etch primer. Yes its also for sale So offer me something, Im very negotiable :)

Image

Cleaned up alices new donk

Rubbed back the primer/filler on the clubman and discovered it needed some more :?
So that's what I did
Slowly getting the hang of using the HVLP spray gun, but it does have much less over spray
So now to rub back during the week and prepare for colour next weekend

The hydrolastic suspension was filled today. First time in 7 years the matic has had all 4 "boots" on the ground.

For those interested in someone to do on-site hydro fluid fills, Jay Styles is still providing this service in Melbourne (located in the SE). Ph: 0431 404 607

Getting there with the rebuild. Only been 8 years so far :D

WIll post some pictures soon in the Members Gallery.

Pulled the alternator out and fitted a spare one.
Now to see if it holds charge and doesnt kill the battery.

Pulled the fresh 500 mile old clutch oil seal (GACO comp one) out of the 1360 and replaced it with a Payen one.
I'm damned if I can see why it was leaking- it looks fine. :?
It was fitted carefully using a spline protector sleeve too.
No, the oil wasn't coming through the primary gear, either.
We'll see if this seal is any better.

Nope, I made one from a Supercrap 3 leg puller I had-
I trimmed the legs at 1 end to fit the groove in the primary gear.
Also shortened the bolt and turned the 1st 50mm down to 13mm to fit down inside the crank.
That cable tie saves me having to have 3 hands...

[edit] Here's my alloy seal pilot that covers the splines, and the seal fitting tool that uses the flywheel bolt to push the seal in.

Kev, Clever use of a three prone prong puller

I managed to score the factory skyes puller set for this about 20 years ago at a junk auction for $10.00 makes the job so so easy

Its my best purchase ever right place right time
