Holy cow Steve!!

No worries.

I bought this endoscope on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/110832694690 ... 1439.l2649

It works a treat. the video resolution is 640 x 480 max which doesn't sound much but I've been looking in all sorts of spots with it and it is heaps of pixels and pretty clear. Fullscreen is fine.

Well worth the 30 bucks.

It records AVI files if you need them.

the head does get a bit warm but if you are having a look around inside the car for a short time it shouldn't be a worry.

I was going to post some pics but haven't figured that part of it out yet.

Avagoodweekend.....

and like I said on the first thread, very handy diagnostic tool - you can look at all sorts of things, like inspecting bores through spark plug holes, gears through the sump plug hole, cams through the distributor hole, poke it through a hole in the firewall and watch your dashpots jumping up and down while driving etc. etc. etc.

my guru's is more like this, with a flexible neck so you can bend it to point at things and stay there

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-Endoscop ... 35b258a595

though his has a screen built into the handle - more expensive unit, but picture quality would be about the same, it's not cinema quality, but it's very usable

I like the one in the original post as it has 10m of camera lead - and I have an immediate need to look down a drain pipe the has intermittent blockage and it's all inside walls and second story floors

If you are having an endoscope and a colonoscopy at the same procedure make sure there are two different instuments prepared or at least the endoscope is first.
