I have a 1990 Japan rover with a 998cc engine with a 4speed gearbox . It has dished piston . What diff is in it eg 3.9 etc ?

2.9 or 3.1 maybe a 2.7

if its the original gearbox its most likely to be a 3.7 or 3.44 as that is what most are from around that era, surprised that its got dished pistons as most we have pulled apart have flat tops,i would hazard a guess that the motor has been rebored/rebuilt
