My tacho has started zeroing itself at 2000 RPM and not returning to zero when the car is switched off, so I decided to pull it out and have a look at what was going on. I've found that 1 of the 2 coils that appear to return the needle has unravelled. See the attached photos.
Just wondering if anyone can offer any insight into how this could be fixed? Or who could fix it in the Sydney area?
Cheers

Somebody else was asking about getting instruments repaired and adjusted.

I am out of Sydney for 15 years now so have lost touch but there was two such places in Syndey back then. One was in Silverwater just off Silverwater road and the other was somewhere near Taren Point.

Perhaps somebody could advise if either or both of these places still exist.

Thanks for the replies,
I'll phone around tomorrow and get some quotes. Really want to keep the stock look but might end up slipping an after market gauge in the slot for now.
