we had a chat about it a couple of weeks ago - I reckon it's a lovely car, I haven't seen it in person, but I reckon it's genuine

the discussion was around the 1's in the body number being stamped upside down - maybe it was the last body shell done on a friday arvo - surely if someone was trying to fake it, they'd get the stamps up the right way!

And you can very quickly distinguish a 1275 head from a smallbore head by the orientation of the frontmost two thermostat studs/bolts.
They are parallel on a "bigbore" head - with the head studs
and kicked off to an angle on a "smallbore" head.

the only thing I don't like is the engine colour, the alternator, the oil cooler hoses (blue? WTF??) and the water catch tank...

actually, it doesn't have the right dash fascia either

still a really nice car, if I was in the market I'd look at it quite seriously

If you want to be even more picky then you could add no brake booster, air filter wing nuts, no heater tap, no hydro, no heater inside and having inertia reel seat belts fitted.

All things that can be fitted, sourced etc at a later dat.

Otherwise it looks nice.
