Could always cut and shut it, and bend to suit.

That wouldn't be very difficult, but weld it well otherwise when you get all boy racer you'll snap it

Haha, morris.... It's like you were reading my mind.. I have my wand gearstick off my original gearbox here.
Perfect!!!! I just need to bend it to the perfect spot, then cut off a bit if I need to.
Or just leave it long WRC style. :lol:

I reckon sorting out a steering column with uni joints at each end so you can have the wheel at a different angle would be cool

Yea, that would be ideal.
But I don't reckon you need one on either end. I reckon you cut it right in the middle then put one there. So if you point it up as high as you can then bend it down just under the dash to as straight as you can to the steering wheel.... Perfect. 8)

The later versions of the Italian made Morris 1100 had a single uni joint in the column.
