Hey guys just a quick one on how to connect my interior light.
Is the purple white stripe one the live ?

Purple is from the fuse box to the interior light.
The purple & white stripe wires are from the door jam switches. They go to a joiner just inside the left hand a piller, approx 2" behind the grommet!

Now how do I connect this up as I have had 2 attempts and have blown the fuse twice. What am I doing wrong?

The Purple live wire goes directly to the bulb right hand end and the other to the left side to change over from earth to switched earth via the switch. By the way the wires need to have Bullet terminals too. They do not go under any screws.
