What is meant to cover this bit at the back of the door lock striker plate bit thingy? I'm sure I removed something from there, but I can't remember what it looks like and I don't know if I still have it.

The photo was rotated, but it's being a giant turd. You can see what I mean though.

Thanks Bubba. I thought it was pretty much something along those lines, I just couldn't remember exactly what it looked like. I was hoping someone might be able to jog my memory.

I'll have another sift through my pile of bits tomorrow, but a photo might be nice anyway if anyone's got one.

Some models have vinyl stuck to the body and the plate is also vinyl covered.

I have a pair if you need them. Yours for free, but they only come in Gambier Turquoise.

And black on the inside, which you can blame Henry Ford for

Well, I just had a rummage through the garage, and it would appear that I put those plates in a very special place. If only I could remember where that place is. They're probably sitting proudly as an ornament at one of the 4 houses I've lived in since I stripped the car.

Soooo, I'm on the hunt for a pair. Thanks Peter for the offer. I'll send you a PM, but if anyone's got any closer to my colour or, even better, unpainted, that'd be awesome.

Specifically, you're looking for one (or two) of these :

Yeah, so that looks entirely unfamiliar. I think, perhaps, I used to have some kind of home made make do job, which I no longer possess. Or maybe there was actually never anything there and I haven't lost anything. Either way, I still don't have anything to cover that ugly hole.

Thanks boys.
