I bought the super you-beaut thrust bearing from a certain moderator that advertised it as "hard to find". He was right. I can't find the damn thing. I thought I left it in a drawer in the spare bedroom but it isn't there now.

my stomach dropped when I read that first line - "oh no, something went wrong!", but if you've only lost it, then I can sell you another... ;)

".probably have left the UK CKD in form later in '66..."

Well..No. It was built in the UK and shipped to a dealer in NZ who would have ordered it from the factory... For CKD cars the Factory had no idea what engine went with what body - and CKD kits don't have UK chassis numbers....

Wonder what colour hydro bags are included??.....

I'd like one of the experts to explain what proves its an 850???

Cheers, Ian

The CKD NZ cars had all of the Uk markings and from what i can recall they did have uk chassis numbers unlike OZ cars.

Also Coopers where registered in NZ as 850 Minis

I own one that was registered like that

he blue Mini is a nice looking car but its only a cousin to a Cooper

Cheers, Ian

Not quite right. Actually, just wrong.......

I have the original rego papers for my 1964 Cooper S and it was registered as

Model: COOPER S

It had 10 miles on the speedo.

Registered 24th March, 1965 in Auckland. It was continuously registered as such until I imported it to OZ where it is registered in Vic. as a 1964 Morris Coupe. I much preferred the Kiwi's approach.
