Make sure you keep the glass and latches from the original doors, they differ on our UK cars from Aus ones.

Cheers,

Apart from the fact they are lighter, I don't see the appeal of these 47+ year old doors.
Most need major repairs, you can't buy the proper metal catches now, aftermarket window runners etc are crap & don't fit right, and the ventilation is poorer than with a windup one & quarter windows.
Unless it's for `originality' on an early body or its a race car, I don't see the point.

ps. yes, I owned an 850 with these doors. My 1st car, back in the `60s. :P

".... latches from the original doors, they differ on our UK cars from Aus ones..."

Not really Brett..... First the UK had the metal "single hole" type and then the metal twin hole type and then black plastic. Oz cars use the two hole type which finished in the UK around the end of 63...

If you wanted new runners/catches then you can still buy the latest UK style.

And Doc got in one .... "Apart from the fact they are lighter,.." as in lots lighter

Cheers, Ian

What I meant was if he has the original UK markings glass and original black plastic latches his Traveller was born with he might as will keep them. Same with the UK door handles too, come to think of it. :)

they're pretty good for rust actually, just in the pockets and a bit at the bottom of the skins, at least 1 has a bit at the top where water was sitting in the window channel.

I think I have 3 pairs, I need to keep 1 set for my traveller... obviously the best ones

I should let them appreciate a bit

how much do u want for a set?
