.003" more than what you would set standard ones to.
eg. a Kent or Russell Engineering cam is .016" with stock rockers, so set 1.5s (both roller or forged ones) to .019".
This gives the same clearance between the cam follower and cam lobe as it has with std rockers.
Slide the feeler gauge in sideways, don't just jam it in from the front or you will get a false (tight) result.
