From an email I received from Moke Australia:

Quote:
Good afternoon All,

Just to give you a quick note on new and exciting updates in the world of Mokes. We have signed a development and production agreement with Chery Automotive/Sicar Engineering to bring the Moke back to full production. We have started a new facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Moke-Inte ... 6597008314 so you can follow the development of the new Moke and we will be posting updates weekly. We have also launched a new website www.mokeinternational.com . It is currently just a landing page while the site is being built. I know the first question is when are the Mokes going to be avaialbe for sale in Australia? You'll have to sign up to the facebook or Moke International page to get more details in the near future.

In regard to parts, we currently have 3 containers on the water to re-stock our supply of seats, rubber selection, wheels and bumpers. They will start arriving in mid August and I will let everyone know exact dates once I get confirmation from the shipping companies.

Thanks again to everyone for their buisiness and if we can be of assistance in the near future, we would be happy to help.

Have a great weeekend.

Best regards,

Paul

Very interesting. Would love to think I could buy a new one, but we'll have to see how they go with our current ADRs.

The simple answer is they would be for off road use only, There's simple no way a Moke could comply with current adrs without a total redesign.
