Just need some advice on my weber set up.
Engine 1100 s block now at 1310cc
Camshaft RE13
Extractors LCB
Carburettor Weber 40mm
Main Jets 130
Emulsion F16
Chokes 34

The problem is down low, it bogs down if you don't feed it in slowly. :?

My question is can you see anything that looks way off in the weber set up?

Many thanks
Brian

Well.. you can go richer on the mains which may help, but it'll use more fuel then.
IMO you cannot treat the throttle like a light switch with a Weber or Dellorto sidedraft (as you can with an SU), unless the chokes in it are too small. But 34s in a 40 should be fine in a 1310.

My 1360 won't take full throttle properly below 2700, it has a 45 with 36mm chokes in it. Cam is bigger than yours though (RE282 and 1.5 rockers).
But fuel usage ain't bad, it's good in traffic at part throttle and it hauls ass to 7500+, so I'm happy. :P

[edit] what size air corrector jets and which primary venturis does it have?

I`d probably look at the pump circuit first & also the by-pass jet in the bottom of the fuel bowl

what idle jets are in it ???

We just set the float levels on my twin 40's and that seems to have helped some

Not sure Matt are they easy to get at?
You have given me some homework as I know jack about these things but I will look up the items you have spoken about.

Doc thank you for the input. I can appreciate that I can't just hit it like a switch although that would be handy!!!! it has got to get better than a gentle feed as there is nothing worst than having a mini the corners like a beauty but when you ask it the question at the apex it hesitates then answers the call.
The reason that I raised this topic was cause I was watching a you tube of a guy with a cross flow twin weber setup and he was stomping on it and it didn't die like mine would. Bit hard to compare a cross flow twin with mine but I remember when I was doing maintenance fitting, it is all about the machine trying to tell me something and it is my job to figure out what that something is.
Kochie
Float level good

Webers with 1 choke per cylinder (eg 2L Alfas) are a different kettle of fish. You can stomp on them from idle. Note though that they have only 32 or 33mm chokes in em, and have a 500cc cylinder doing the sucking on each barrel. So, it's way different to a single Weber on a siamese ported head feeding 4 much smaller cylinders.

Put an ex-Alfa Weber or Dellorto 40 on a Mini, it'll idle but that's about all.
Emulsion tubes and air corrector jets are totally wrong. So is the accelerator pump setting.
