I have always bought standard old BP6ES (I think) plugs and never had any hassles till recently......several really 'dodgy' ones.

What are the equivalent Bosch spark plugs please.

From a US chart, W6DC = BP6ES. However I think W6DC run colder, and W7DC are closer in performance to a BP6ES.
Here's the link- http://www.clubplug.net/bosch_ngk.html

Note I'm comparing resistor plugs here ^^ WR6DC & BPR6ES (the above are not now listed in US) but the heat range numbers are same.
Note Bosch numbers increase with hotness, and NGK decrease.

I have used Bosch plugs before, IMO they are only better than NGK by having a thicker ground electrode.

Note I'm currently running BPR6ES in the 1360 and BPR5EY in the 1412 stroker. Used with Bosch inductive core leads, I've had no problems.

I had the same problem. Spent ages trying to diagnose the problem. Never thought it would be the brand new plugs I just installed. Didnt happen once. Same thing on the race car 6 months later.
Have also switched to Bosch after 20 years relying on NGK.
Never again.

plugs of late (espcially NGK in my expirience) seem to have a more porous ceramic so if they get wetted or oiled they are more prone to failing, Ive had better results with Denso plugs though.

of a knackered lump I have in my car i can get 1000-1500 miles out of a set of denso's vs about 2-300 on NGK's ( yes it needs a rebuild!)
