I was kidding. My inner conspiritist thinks retailers like to inflate prices prior to putting items on "sale".. so $7.95 was a wry nod in that direction ;)

:( That is exactly how Supercrap operate.

xxxxample

"normal" $11.50
1 week prior to sale ...up $2 to $13.50
Sale day ...down $1.50 & everyone forgets what the previous pricing was.

don't get me started on Kathmandu Outdoor stores...

product comes in from China/Taiwan/Malaysia, price tag printed in producing country of say $400 (for a jacket!) within a week of being on the rack it's down to $300, another week it's at Half price! after a month or two it's at 75% off and more closely aligned with what it's actually worth...

gotta love the mark it up to mark it down policy
