nobody sees you. You have to drive with the expectation that the people around you are going to do something stupid, because they will. Give yourself an escape route at all times - know without looking that you can change lanes in a hurry when the truck you're passing pulls into your lane to squish you.
That's some pretty good advice there, I have to say though, I've ALWAYS driven like this, even when I was driving Vans (merc Sprinters, Iveco Daily's) because people just DON'T pay attention anymore. I've had someone almost take their mirror to the side of one of the vans before I hit the horn because
I assumed they'd see me before getting that close.

Yeah you have a point, they would more than likely look for a truck.
I have been checking out some horns on ebay, their are some that are like 110 decibels that just look like standard horns. he had a vid of them and the noise was incredible and they were pretty reasonably priced too. I think for around 30-40 + postage. the one that is in it at the moment isn't loud at all. kind of sounds like a fart that some one is trying to hold in lol. thank you for the advice though will definately keep that in mind.
I've got a Stebel 134db horn, like this one

in my current car and I have to say, it WORKS! When I've
had to use it, it's worked fairly well and most people either freeze mid -stupid/dangerous act- or they swerve back to where they were, although I have been forced onto the median strip once (due to the wally behind the guy coming across that forced himself beside before the lane change was complete

) I originally bought it for the mini builds but wanted to try it out.... now the Mrs wants one, and the new car's getting one.. I think the mini will be getting two though. just for added safety.
