Anyone put in a keyless entry kit on their mini? I am thinking of putting one in but wanted to hear if other had any feedback on what they have used and if it was any good. Not sure if I want an alarm or just keyless entry.

Since there is a million kits available from China a recommendation would be helpful......

If you have clubby style doors, it's quite possible and reasonable easy to install. Many people (including myself) have done it. I'm not sure about other doors. Having the corner windows gives enough space for the servo, otherwise the window glass will hit it.

I used the jaycar kit, but I can't really vouch for it's quality. After 2 years of no issue, *both* servos suddenly died. I think the master servo seized and caused the slave one to go bezerk and kill itself.

Damn should have mentioned it was for a 67 Morris, not a clubman.

I've done one of every kind of door.
Generally speaking, clubbies are easy, and can be done with a standard locker kit.
Rovers need the locker kit, some aluminium flat bar and some additional fasteners.
Roundies need a all of the above, some metal rods, and a mad scientist to install.

You sure are.
Do the passeners door first. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being impossible), its about a 3.
It's the other door thats the problem.

Not saying it's easy but thinking outside the box if you put a passenger side latch and handle on the driver door wouldn't it be possible. Still a pita though.
Cheers Rob.

Not remote locking, but it is keyless entry.

Technically its illegal to leave a car unlocked when its unattended - I don't think they'd make it stick in court though.
