ps how poo poo are these new engine mounts! what a POS lining them up!

Nick the QH ones have (always did) the 3 and 2 bolt patterns 4mm too close together.
I put them in the mill and slot the holes 2mm (3 pattern 2mm up, 2 pattern 2mm down), then tack weld 2 nuts inside.
Drop engine in, poke a Phillips screwdriver through to align, screw bolts in, done! No crowbars-blocks of wood-swearing etc needed.

You could file them out instead, would only take 10 mins.

Here's a pic (before nuts added):

little update, the car is now running.

I got it running this morning trying to make the muster, got a mate to tune while we drove over haha. good fun love this system.

it needs a dyno, it has no power really want to try this re83 cam

but she idles lovely at 900revs & keeps ticking and i can cruise at 60kph.

hopefully dyno in 2 weeks N/A then drive for a bit then blower time!

here is a photo from today still bit unfinished & at crap but it will do for now.

dynod the car today for N/A

sit down people. lol

55hp atw at 5,500 rpm & 55ft torque at 5,500 rpm

not driven a A series in a long long time & the fact it is low compression around 8.5.1 or so maybe lower

not to sure could be lower.

it seems to bog down a bit at 1500 to 2000rpm because of the larger throttle body, 50mm then picks up & comes on cam, if you would call it that.

I would say combined with the re83T cam its not going to perform it's best being a forced induction cam.

but wow it's SLOW LOL & doughy!
seems really crap. lol maybe i have forgot how slow a N/A Mini is.

im so use to the g13B mini/engine now.

got a few things to fix.. timing chain oil seal grrr.. is there a uprated one of them?

then ill bung the lung on.
see what she does then, thats going to change everything.
