Vicroads doesnt allow anything to be fiberglass that isn't removable. So front wings are not allowed. Bonnet and boot are. Not certain on doors

What about a FG removable flip front... :?:

What about a Lotus?
What about a bus?

So what about a VW new beetle (the Golf + fat kit one), they have plastic wings...

Renault Laguna too.

The Lotus i'm working on at the moment is fibreglass. But one could go so far as to say that the body is removable, because it is, just not as straight forward as taking off your bonnet.

As seen here

Kennomini,

There is a guy on the Gold Coast that has a silver VTEC mini. His name is Nathan Wilson and he runs an engineering workshop here in Southport. Nice guy, he has a cf boot and bonnet that he made himself. I think he still has the moulds.

Yeah that's probably the guy I'm thinking about, I saw him at the muster a couple of years ago and he was selling some CF items so he might be a good local option.

Sorry to bring this up if it's already been answered but what's the current ruling on these for road registered and club registered vehicles?

I did do a quick search first :?

if it's painted like the rest of the car, your chances of being picked up for it are slim..

If you buy these bonnets http://the-arc-angels.co.uk/shop/index.php?route=product/product&path=20_27&product_id=97

with the ready to fit option, does anyone know for sure that the hinges are in the right location? I seem to remember something about Oz Mk 1 models having hinges in different spot.

C/F bonnets are banned for road use because they shatter in an accident & are capable of piercing the windscreen [& you].

They break differently to F/G.
