Yeah Andy, I must say, generally I don't like Mini's that are overly 'different' on the exterior, they just turn out looking like abominations of a classic car... but this is so different it's AWESOME! :) It just looks right.

I love the wheels and it wouldn't have been the same car without that fantastic paint job!! Well worth the trouble and wait in the end!

(And oh yeah, loving the Pog, I really have to tear myself away from tinkering with it to get something done on the Mini!)

Erm, I'm pretty sure it's a dog and with front legs like that - a Jack Russell.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick update....

Well the painting is all but complete - the only thing left to do now is to fit up and paint the front spoiler - which is still in the manufacturing stage. Once this is complete, the reassembly will begin in earnest.

Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, a few pics of the latest round of paint application from the House of Hallsey (and Ashie too of course)...

The rear tailight housings are painted a satin black:
Image

The rear window frames, masked and sprayed the same colour:

And then unmasked:

The front grill and headlight surrounds painted in the black (the intercooler will be this colour as well, so both apertures at the front will be black:
Image

And finally, the window surrounds on the car itself - the black around the door frames matches the black around the rear window frame so it all looks even:
Image

So, thats it for a while, until the spoiler is finished - which is a bit of a task as they have to make the mould first, and then pull a part off the mould. Should be about another week or two until this happens.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy the pics.....

Cheers,
Tricky

Awesome work guys! That paint looks unreal.

I've been away from the site for a while, but seeing El Gato at this stage was a great welcome back! :D

i love the window details. IMO it looks odd when they dont match or flow (imagine having a white b-pillar in between)

excellent work
