no worries dude, glad i could help out....

You can still go the 200kw@wheels route and just not use it all on the street, just set the low boost as low as it will go and have a fast right foot...

Did you end up checking out that 350hp@wheels motor for sale??

Dean, I still reckon you're a madman....

I'm going to "creep up" on 150@wheels slowly, like over the next 5 years....

at the moment 77ish.... aiming for 100@wheel next dyno day, then 120ish, and finally 150... i think thats getting to the limit for a street mini anyway (A-Series power)

Hope the 350 works out for you.. remember, Noodles and Lentils are perfectly good to eat for days at a time.... you CAN go without expensive food, drink, power, water, heatng etc etc etc etc .. you NEEEEEED THat engine !

Later
J

Just got home from my holiday. About 500 unread ausmini posts since my last visit :(

Anyway, went for a spin in Brad's rocket a couple of weekends ago. Had a mate in the back as well.

I'm pretty sure we were saying more than holy moley when he put his foot down. :D

We too had big grins all day. My mate couldn't stop talking about it, and he's not even into cars.

I don't see how I could really want any more power.

A couple of days later I was in another mates GTR Skyline, twin turbo blah blah blah. I don't know which is quicker, but I know which was more fun, and it cost much less too.

Actually... Brad's rocket launcher is only a measly half a second behind the GTR 0-100km/h. Not bad at all!

Only half a second!? Holy Moly. That's insane.

When you haven't really driven a car that fast before, "100Hp" and "150Hp" etc. are just numbers, if you know what I mean.

After my car is given back to me (end of this week) I want to put it on a dyno and see what results I get. I suppose then it will be easier to guage "just how fast 150Hp for a Mini really is". If that makes any sense...

Very careful tyre and wheel choice....and the right suspension to take the power...you should be talking to racers....maybe Greig Malaure....

Drive it in reverse

But seriously, does the box your getting have a LSD?
I hear they are horrendously expensive to buy aftermarket from Japan.

PS You're going to have to stop quoting those sort of power figures - you're making us all envious
