Hey guys

back when the gt spot was online, did anyone save any photos of doogies old GT with the smashed rear end? I THINK there might have been one floating around of it before it was blasted. I would like one for my records.

regards, josh

I dont believe so as you can still the the oil catch breather thing that comes out the chest cover on the radiator side of the motor, just behind the head.

1200 or 1205 ?

The 1205 (police special) were a 71 - and I anticipate will be "S" blocks with detachable side covers....

My May 72 "1200" is the same with detachable side covers.....

Ahh Sorry, I was mixing it up with 1206 blocks (Late GT block with no chest covers). I should be thinking more before I type

1205 blocks were the police blocks. (Yes having removable chest covers)

Without knowing the number stamped you cant really tell, as apart from the carbs the differences were internal. (Different cam, and slightlymore worked head - so different stamped number near the thermostat, and twin 1 1/2 Su's)

As for what motor I have no idea?? Could be a GT motor could be a cooper s motor, What ever it is it has removable chest covers.
