Don't put different drums on one side to the other - your steering will be be different left to right.

Only reason for my earlier comment was I noticed that you had posted late at night, and may not have driven the car. if you raise one side of a mini and drop it, it doesn't go back to the right place till the car is driven and the suspension and tyres settle again.
If the difference was only a small amount left to right, it could've been that.

What suburb are you in? If it's local enough I'd be happy to pop out for a look.

Harley, thanks again for the reply, the car is locating in Geelong so a bit far for you i think. When i get down to work on it next i will swap over a couple of the rims and see if i get a difference. I recall the difference i measured was about 15mm.

I just think it interesting the car is out both front and back. One end you'd say accident, but both is odd. Silly question - but the car doesn't already have different drums left to right?
Can you measure the front and rear tracks?

Will have to measure when i get down to the car next but i am 99.99999% sure they are the same drums all round. I have dealt with stepped drums in the past an i know there is a substantial difference. I still hold a lot of stock in your first comment regarding the order of installation of the wheels as i installed rear then front on the drivers side then repeated the process on the other.
