Hello readers,
Can anyone advise what the increments are on an A+ timing case?
I'd always assumed that they were 0,2,4,6 etc, but saw one the other day which showed 0,4,8!
I assume that they must all be the same scale, just some marked and some not?
Advice appreiated, pics would be terrific!
Thanks.

A series Cases were 5 degree increments where as the later A+ ones were 4 degrees .. so 0,4,8,12,16

Nice trap for young players,

Beanie

If anyone's thinking of buying a new timing light, consider a `dialback' one.
These only need the TDC marks.
Advantage- you can find out what max advance your motor needs for full power, (eg 30°BTDC @ 3500 rpm) then preset that on the light. When you reach it by dizzy adjustment, the two TDC marks will be in line. No need for extended advance marks on the motor like I had before.
These lights also have a tacho built in. Price? Around $100 and upwards. 8)

On closer inspection, yes, there are numbers stamped in. If you didn't know they were there, I suspect you'd never find them....
Thanks again for help guys.
