mk 2 cooper S motor. 1275cc.

Couldnt tell you what year though, some of the more informed people may be able to give you a rough date for it.

If you dont want it cause its "Old" theres lots of us who will take it off your hands

Did it come with a crank, head and gearbox?

Sounds like you won lotto with that pickup!
Did you have to pay for it, or did someone just want it gone!?

They just wanted it gone. It's complete heads and all. Hasn't run in at least 20 years. Neighbour had it under the house.

How much would something like this be worth?

Of course it depends on whether or not the engine is complete, is not catastrophically broken, overbore size, gearbox attached, ancillaries etc.

I sold a completeworn out Mk1 engine on box and without ancillaries for 2500 a few years ago.A Mk2 is of course more desirable with the thick flange Cooper S Block, and is a little harder to come by.
