hi all. just as the title says. can someone give me directions how to pull apart a deluxe column to recon and replace the bushes? thanks

First remove the blinker return bolt...then you knock up the brass collar, which then reveals, 2 half plastic thingy's .
Then you remove the clip of the horn earth wire. the wire will then pull out downwards... ok. Job done.

Assembly is the opposite of disassembly....HOWEVER....the column and how it mates to the rack and pinion is critical to your continued good health...get some expert advice :wink:

Managed to get both apart today, its a bit different having to take the slip ring off and disconnect the horn switch wire and pull it out with the little placky bits behind the slip ring

i wonder how easy it will be putting it back together?

remember what you did but in reverse also loosen ubolts on rack
so as you can line up spline and shaft and make sure the pinch bolt goes through the groove and NOT on top of rack spline as you could end up with no steering and that is no fun ..also do up the ubolts before you finnish. :D
