Hey everyone! I'm Erin, I used to be on the forums as 'erin' a few years ago when I had a 74 Clubby in pieces. A break up meant I had to sell it, but I've just put a deposit on a 72 that I should be picking up this weekend :D

And yes! My username is my old roller derby name :D Still have my skates but not using them at the moment ^_^

Hi Erin,

welcome back, hmm skates, roller derby haven't seen that in a while :)

Bad luck on the loss of the Clubby, but good to see a new one on the horizon.

Hi All.

New member here.

I just bought an unloved 1971 Clubman with aim to do a restoration and get it back on the road. The motor runs, clutch is a bit suspect and it has no brakes. Exterior isn't too bad - not that much rust, but paintwork is pretty sad. Interior needs a fair bit of work.

It's my first Mini - so expect lots of questions. :D

Hi all,

Ashley is my name & I have been around Mini's all my life, bought my first in 1994 a 66 deluxe & sold it to buy a house in 2001. Have had three in total & have moved on to the bigger brother the Morris 1100. Currently I have a 68 1100s with a sc12 supercharger kit ( lots of fun! ). Anyone in Adelaide know the whereabouts of my old Morris 1100 I sold 9 years ago, Dream Blue registered VPG416, WOULD LOVE IT BACK!

Hi all, i'm new, and i'm a car nut. My name's John or J for short.

I currently drive a '05 Subaru WRX STi, but miss the charm of an older car. I used to own a Toyota Levin before the Subaru and just miss the raw feel of it. So I guess you could say I'm a japanese car enthusiast, but I do appreciate other makes & models.

So why am I here? Well, I'm hunting for a mini and hope to learn as much as I can before committing to anything. I've never owned / worked on a car older than 1990 so it's a great way to get into it. My folks used to own a mini during their early 30s (back in the 60-70s) so I'd really like to see what that was like too.

J

Hey mate,

Lots to be learnt here, you can search the forum using google - "site:ausmini.com disc brakes". It's full of a lot of information from the past 10 years or so of discussions.

There's a mini run down at the bay coming up soon organised through the mini owners club on Queensland, which I don't have my mini registered yet but might still tag along it a daily driver to say hello but also to take a gander at the minis.

There's quite a few blokes around Brisbane who've got a buttload of parts, so when you get one and you're after something, post on the wanted section and you'll quickly learn who has all the bits

Hello All,
I'm new here. First Mini is a 1978 998cc "S" which I purchased as a teenager in about 1996. I still have it in the shed (not running). Second Mini is a 1973 1098cc Clubman project car.

Cheers,
Greg

HI everyone

I'm Mini Mann Canada and am new to forum

I'm In Alberta, Canada

I have a freshly finished 1979 Leyland MINI Panel van ( MINI 95 ) that i did a little customizing to. It was a complete garage build and my First car i have restored. It was in BAD shape, but they are very hard to come by in Canada.
I have done a few Super bikes and choppers in the past as a hobby.
I did all the work myself. My Mini has won a Best In Class this winter @ its first car show, so i guess i did something right ;)

U can watch the build @

What you all think?

Enjoy

MiniMann

Hi Mini Mann
welcome. great looking van, well done lots of hard work, and great pictures. You need another motor just to run the sound system!! 4 batteries.
Lots of custom of changes for a '79... even sliding windows, external door hinges and all your internal mods.
enjoy :D

Hi everyone, I'm Glenn.
I'm currently living at the Fraser Coast, Qld.

I haven't got a mini yet, but ever since riding in one of my mates minis years ago, I swore one day I'd buy one. So I'm doing some research and hope to have one soon!

Hi all!

Name is Ben, from western Syd. I've just about finished restoring my old girl (again,) originally a 998 deluxe that my grandmother bought new in 68, it got passed through the family to me about 15 years ago. It's been sitting in storage for 13 of those 15 years & just before xmas I decided to drag her out & give her a new lease on life. Currently sporting a 1400cc with all the bells whistles, she's a great fun little thing to get about in.

Got some pics, enjoy :)
