Can any one advise if the new Falkens are any better than the old tread pattern?
These are the new ones:
Falken tyre 165/60R12, 71H,
ZIEX series, ZE912, 12" Semi directional tyre
http://www.minisport.com.au/prod645.htm

I have the old ones on the minivan and they are very slippery and dangerous in the current Sydney weather :(

The other option is 12" A539 Yokohamas which I know are not too bad in the wet.

I have not used them but somebody here a year ago did, and said they were great.
I agree the old ones were very skatey, just like their 10" FK07Es.

I know it seems not possible but they are even worse
Especially with the nice fresh 1100 engine.

micheal i had them on my old van few years ago and they were great, a massive improvement to the crappy old pattern and the side walls don't bludge out as much.
