Couldnt someone who has an unrestored mini about to ebarkl on a resto just drill them out and take them to a metal urgest to find out what they are?

That would help answer the original question.
I've gone beyond that in my thirst for BMC publication knowledge  and would like to know where all rivets used were specified. Why weren't they included in this document?

On a related note, I was browsing the net the other day and googled AJAX bolts (ie whats printed on almost all mini bolts) and found this company whcih is still producing bolts with AJAX on the head.

http://www.ajaxfast.com.au/index.asp?d= ... 080F090406

So would this be the same company that provided all the nuts and bolts to BMC? I was thinkning it would be.

Now just to find someone that sells these bolts

comments??

That AJAX site has a rivet handbook. :D If only it had BMC part numbers. :(

These guys were the OEM suppliers to Ford and I think also Holden in Australia until they were famously cut adrift in 2009.

As it happens it's cheaper to get the bolts in very large batches from China.
