My muffler is a 2" diagonal pipe straight through one, it fits up inside the subby and never gets hit.

Yeap, pretty much where stock exhaust should be, out the side and away from the vortex at the back of the car.

Bigger issue especially on lowered cars are those massive mount everest speed humps. With the exhaust out the back, in the center between the two rear wheels, you hit everything... Unless it's a very well set up one like Michaels. Mine is just a big dirty Lukey style muffler, sparks a plenty

Thanks Lilee much appreciated

The exhaust i bought off ebay its definately less than 2" " which reminds me its still in my car lol must be going on a week now " but thats fine my enigine is a 1098 stock standard setup i'd guess with a 1 & a quarter inch carby.

I didn't think a centre exit exhaust would make much of a difference with fumes coming back into the car. I was wrong. I just replaced my centre exit with a side exit and I can't believe the difference. Can drive with windows down now.

Maniflow medium bore LCB.
Use a 1-3/4" OD (outside diameter) pipe. All Imperial exhaust piping is tube, not `water pipe' so is measured on the OD. As it it all 1/16" thick and sizes progress up in 1/8" steps, the pipes nest neatly inside each other.

[edit] typo
