Hey, seller has revised the add.

"We have had this car valued by a mini expert at $15, 000."

Maybe the same expert who valued the Moke - see my post above.

"This car is not a Clubman or MK1 so it does not have front bumper over riders."

Obviously a clueless seller - not a Clubman indeed!

"Previously in Unique cars, 4 mini's in wrecking state were being sold at $10000 each."

Yeah in your dreams!!

"THIS PRICE IS NOT A MISTAKE"

Yes it is :!:

Funny part is that if was kept original (sans sports seats, mags and exhaust) it would probably get $7,000 form a collector. But by modifying it has made it worth maybe $5,000. Loser!

I'd be happy to selling mine for the "wrecking state" $10,000 and mine IS original. :D

what a tosser

i really hope he has listed that add as a joke, if not i think he needs to see a doctor. If that mini is worth 15 grand then mine is worth 30. Id love to know how much you could insure it for, i think nrma would laugh in your face if you wanted to insure it for 15 grand.

If ignorance is bliss this nob jockey must be in heaven. Maybe they could benefit from being sent a link to this post. Not nice I know but in this forum, anonimity is my saviour.

I want to get onto this phantom valuer who's put it at $12,000. I've got a rare Holden VB SLE Commodore that I'm sure Brocky drove. Surely he could value it at no less than a gazillion pesos.

well....according to the sales pitch for the 'it's not a clubman' on ebay, if you remove the SL/E bumper over-riders it makes it much rarer.....

so it sold...or did it really? I think the fake bid was left on, maybe foolishly, and the seller would now have to pay 6% of that sale price for nothing if it was fake and didn't really sell.

Anyway.....here we go again....I think it's the same one. What do you think??

No this one has black mirrors, the first had chrome, think his chances of getting the wanted price are about the same though.

I guess yelow Clubmans are worth more than any other (non Cooper) Mini.

Hold on, the last one wasn't a Clubman, was it? Cos it had no overriders.

Maybe I should paint my van yellow and put in on eBay. If a stock clubman is worth $12,000, then my roundnose van must be worth $20,000! :D

The sooner these loosers sell their Minis (for a decent price) to an enthusiast and move on to something else, the better!

well i sent the dude an email asking for some more info and got about 4 replies in the last few days.....he basically tried to tell me it was completely original and low k's and that he had only chaged the seats cos the originals were worn out (low k's hey? ) and hence real value is at least $15 000.

then about 5 hours later i got another email from him saying that in two years time the value would double because it will officially become a "classic car" (whatever the hell he's going on about there?) and that he would be willing to accept $12 000 for a quick sale

This email was quickly followed up by another one the next day telling me there were numerous people interested and that if i want it i'd better get in touch with him soon and that because i seemed like such a nice guy he would do it for an offer over $7000 (even though i hadn't replied to any of his earlier emails and only asked for some info in my initial email)

lastly i got an email yesterday (two days after his first reply) telling me to make an offer and he would think about it.........

so if anyone is after a bargain this guy is starting to sound pretty desperate.....i hope someone puts him out of his misery soon. I mean a price drop from $15 000 to "make us an offer..." is pretty drastic

oh yeha i forgot......he mentioned something about it being "very quick" and able to "beat most average v6's".....what like a commodore? I WISH a yellow small bore clubby could beat commodores
