That sounds like an UK colour combo. I don't think either of those colours were used in Oz.
The Smoke grey/white combination was also used in UK on Coopers.

OEW, no. Smoke Grey, yes! It was also an 850 colour. I remember seeing a 998 Cooper in Adelaide that was Smoke Grey and Toga white roof.

UK smoke smoke grey is more blue looking than Aus's

Not really....it was a little like Henry Ford saying "you can have any colour, so long as it is black!"....its just the colour combo that BMC decided to run with here....

Would the roof on the Cooper above be Platinum or Nurburg White?

If the blue is Shadow Blue then the roof is Platinum. If the car is Dusk Blue the the roof is Nurburg White. Bit hard to pick the difference between blues with pics on screen. Also Platinum is a very pale almost white Blue.

A Shadow Blue/Nurburg White combination could be possible but I haven't heard of one. Maybe someone else could check some ID plates and let me know?

My Dusk Blue/Nurburg White. (Same car different lighting conditions).

Gould's of Northcote had a 1963 Ormond Green/Saxon Green 997 Cooper with light green interior on the showroom floor when I bought my first Mini 850 - Nurburg White with Yellow interior. You could only get Red, Green, Blue or Yellow interior trim on an 850 at the time. I had a test drive of the Cooper but could only afford the 850 - 753 Pounds versus approx 950 Pounds for the 997 Cooper.

I definitely owned a Shadow Blue/Nurburg White 997 many years ago. I remember agonising over what nurburg white looked like.
