Hi All

I was wondering if anybody had experience rebuilding a mini engine in Canberra. She's just a little tired and smoky but good compression. In general i would like a compete rebuild to freshen her up. Happy to hear about Sydney experiences so long as its on the south side.

Thanks

Give this lot a call and see how they shape up...I haven't heard anything bad about them (fingers crossed)

Another one is Phillip Head Services in Woden.

I've had work done there on a few occasions over the years.
... and they repaired and rebuilt my race motor for me when I had a cam follower failure...

We've had only good times with Belconnen Engine Centre.

There was also a guy from an engine shop in Queanbeyan who I understand was quite keen to work with A series engines - I think he did a talk or two for the ACT Mini Car Club a few years ago. Someone else might chip in with the business name.

I've used both Queanbeyan Engine Service and Engine Rebuilders for machine work on A series and was more than happy with their work.
I've also had Phillip Heads do both heads and cranks in the past and would use them again without hesitation.

Best to ring around and build to your budget.

Cheers Rob.

That was probably Terry from QIM....he has/had a Mini himself...or way back it could have been someone from BERCO but the principle Mini protagonist there has retired.
