Hi guys,

Found a mini for sale that I'm really becoming obsessed with and was wondering if anybody would be willing to go suss it out for me.

It's a 98 Jap import cooper, with a bit over 100thou on the clock

If there is anyone with a bit of rover experience or decent mini knowledge that would be willing to see the car in SANDRINGHAM please pm me :D

Short of this I might have to fly up to see it myself

Thanks

I am a 10min drive from Sandringham. I am not a car expert but i have owned a rover in the past and own one atm. If you can't find anyone i can help.

over 100,000 on a 98 rover is pretty high i see a lot of them sitting at 50-75k

Yeh willy it is

Danny, that's why I want someone to have a real good look over it.
This one ticks all the boxes other than the high ks, so I just want to make sure it's thoroughly asessed

If you ask me the price he wants VS the km is a bit rich..

I paid 13k for a 97 rover with the exact same interior and exterior color but i have standard arches with 43k

But the sport packs do look nice!

Yeh not the biggest fan of the price, but I've been looking at a few now and seriously cannot stop looking at this mini.

It's got everything I want in a rover and I'm pretty sure he'd take my current car as a trade in. (Still on NSW reg lol)

Hi Callin
You are right it is great looking, its been up on car sales for a little while, I seem to recall a few years back that Kaz had couple of minis for sale but at that time he had one at Wahroonga when I spoke with him, perhaps if he is keen to sell it he will have it inspected for you and do the running around.
I would suggest by Greig Malaure @ Classic mini 2/27 Hope St, ERMINGTON NSW 2115, Phone(02) 98747211

I'm a little confused by your post MINI3R?

I saw it go up a long time ago but I was hoping it would sell quickly so I wouldn't talk myself into buying it lol That didn't work too well.

I've even been looking on some jap sites to see if any are worth importing directly but this ones still tops the charts

I would ask the seller "Kaz" to take it over to Greig and have him go over it for you.
You are right it is a chart topping car
:D

Might be worthwhile paying for a State Roads inspection if you are serious?

Organize it with the seller and they will take care of everything for you.

But I generally agree that a Mini specialist would be better if possible.

RACV arranged a check on a car in QLD that I was interested in a few years ago.
The report is quite comprehensive and not too costly if you are really keen on it.
