Was advertised on Gumtree for $1000 (restorer with spare parts), saw the ad go up in the evening, gave seller a call in the morning to arrange a time to take a look, had to be in the afternoon as I was working, got a text an hour or two later advising it'd been sold :-( Reckon it was a bargain, looked pretty good in the pictures (for a restorer  ) Knowing my luck it was probably a bloody Cooper or something rare and a seller with no clue

Ah well, my search for a project starter here in Townsville continues.... Wish I could get a hold of 'John the Pom' of WSL Motors, I know he has a tonne of interesting mini's locked away in his garage! I think he's had a heart attack and retired, shut up shop with a veritable treasure trove of goodies stashed away (there's one car in there that I've lusted over for 15 years, I'd bite his arm off to get it out of there and into my garage...)

Why can't you get hold of him? I got a '65 from him end of 2011? Has his health deteriorated since then? Was hoping to pick up one of the many engines that's strewn across his garage. Looked very like an 'S' lump. Nice chap in person.
