To cut a long story short I have stuffed up and found out the my engine is intact a 1370 with 73mm pistons and my new ones are 73.5 mm. Question is are you able to bore from a 1370 to 1380? Or is it too minimal.

If it is 73mm bore with stock stroke it is a 1360, not 1370.
Yep it's a straight +.020" overbore & hone job. The usual next size up.

Yeah I just read somewhere else it ment it was a 1360. This is good news because I thought it was at its last size. I've seen that it costs around $150 for a rebore of bare block. But what is involved with a 1380 offset bore and cost?

It is only getting .010" taken out of each side of the bore. If you wanted it offset bored it's really too late, it should have happened sooner (eg when bored from 1310? to 1360) when you could take more metal out to allow the offset.
I think all you can do now is straight bore it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall 1370 was achievable using Triumph (Herald? 2.5?) pistons and during the 1970s was quite common for racing and autocross engines. I think Vizard may refer to it.in one of his books.

That wasn't 1370. According to Vizard, Triumph 2.5PI pistons with std stroke gave 1426cc.
They were 74.7mm bore.

[edit] I think Nissan pistons gave you a 1370 but it wasn't in Vizard's books.

Okay so I'm going to have to remove my crank and cam to bore the block. Now I have rebuilt engines before but when it came to timing I have only lined up the dots. Where would I get info on timing in my re13.

RE13 cam has an LCA of 106° approx.
I would dial it in at full inlet lift 106° ATDC if you have a belt drive cam, or 104°ATDC if you have a chain (allows a bit for chain stretch/wear).
Best to check this with head on and rockers adjusted (to apply working load to the chain).
If you have non-adjustable sprockets, I'd use an offset cam key.
However, many folks just throw this cam in and align the dots, they still (usually) work OK.

Okay so would this way work well? i ask because having a physical video of what i have to do seems to work better for me.
