Les Davids Past away 7Th June,
He was not a member of ausmini, But he was a Mini fanatic, When He passed away He had a Cooper S and a Mini Deluxe he drove his Cooper S as often as He could in the last Few weeks Of His life.,
As one goes through life we meet a lot of people, and some of them leave lasting impressions on Us some good some Bad, Les has left A great void in My life
as he was one of the most decent honest loyal and caring people I have ever had the pleasure of Knowing, In My opinion He made My life and both my sons a whole lot better because
he was a part of it
If there is a better place to go after this Life Les will have a front row seat
I will miss You Mate
John Smidt

Here's hoping his cars pass to someone who enjoys them as much as he did.
Glad you shared here John.

I Would like to thank everyone including all those that emailed Me direct, For their kind words about My friend Les. I spoke to His two sons on Saturday, I must say they take after their Dad, they are both gentlemen, I mentioned to them that I had put a post on ausmini, and they thought that was great, Les was a truly great Mate who always seamed to know when to call and make Me laugh and offer words of wisdom and fantastic advice

John

Echoing others condolences you have many supporters (including me) that will feel sorry for your loss. All the best ol' mate. Hopefully we still have a few good years in us. But i think it was the last time we spoke you reminded me we are entering that phase of life to value what we have because we are now in the league of 'who is left'. So while some pass on, we also suffer. :(

Best wishes
Wayne

John,

The kind and thoughtful words you wrote about the sad passing of your good mate is a clear example on why you are so respected in the BMC enthusiast community. They say actions speak louder than words. In your case I've never met a more humble and polite individual in what can sometimes be quite a cut-throat business. You are a caring person who gives to others through your deeds.

The thoughts of my wife and I are with you and the boys at this sad time.

Best regards,
Doug
