Harry's went off on Friday night with heaps of old cars. Mostly yank tanks but some cool others too. Two minis spotted, one was hiding in the car park next door.

My photos are rubbish but check out Adam Byster's shots at his web site:

Some of the cars were unbelievably well built. Real labours of love and while not to all tastes, beautifully done.

These old school nights are first and third Friday every month. I hope to get to the next one.

Years ago Harry's got out of control. As cars left a very large crowd would cheer and yell at the drivers to smoke the tyres on the way out. Until an alleged drunk in a corvette lost control and slammed into the crowd seriously injuring people. Then the cops attended every Friday night defecting and impounding cars until no one would go there. To this day I still split the blame between the crowds and the drivers. Crowd pressure is a powerful thing but the driver is still the one in control.
I was a regular myself but haven't been there for many years and still have concerns about a police sting.
What's it like now?
