Just spent some time looking at the website. A good start but obviously a lot more to come.

Can I suggest that the reference features you use be credited with where they have come from, so that readers don't assume it is all your own work.

I am very interested in the feature on the history of the AP automatic and have downloaded a copy of the story for later perusal. Can you tell me where that story has come from?

You may be interested in the story I did on the history of the Mini-Matic in Issue 9 of The Mini Experience http://bmcexperience.com.au/issue-9.html

Greig Malaure at Mini Classic in Ermington (Sydney) is one of the foremost experts on rebuilding the Mini-Matic transmission in Australia. I think that Bryan at Link Automotive in Mitcham (Melbourne) also knows quite a bit about them.

There are also a couple of members of the Vic Mini Club (and possibly others) who have Matics and know a fair bit about them. Peter van Alkemade swears by the Matic and has driven, rebuilt and even successfully motorkhana'd a Matic for many years.

Cheers,
Watto.

Hey Watto.

I have just been throwing content up onto the site... it needs to be sorted etc etc. I have been busy over the last few days scanning stuff in.

At the bottom of the page you are referring to it says "Link" and then refers to the Austin Memories site. That should read "Source". I will change that.

The text above it came from the Austin American site "http://members.tripod.com/austin_america/id72.html" - I will fix that up.

Everywhere else should have the appropriate references. =)

I am a subscriber of your mag and have read that article. I haven't added it to the site as yet - I will need to speak to you about that. That was the first article that I read about the Mini.Matic.

I haven't heard of Greig Malaure. I am going up to Sydney to see Ivan Glasby. He has a mate who has rebuilt the gearbox many times and I will be going up to take video of a rebuild. Good to know though.

I have spoken to Peter van Alkemade a few times and have emailed him for info too. Like everyone else, you don't want to abuse your friendship.

OK. I have updated the website now. I have removed that text and will continue to update content over the coming weeks.

I have made it a little bit cleaner.

I have the Service Tools section going up shortly.
