Guys we all enjoy the site and appreciate the efforts that Mick, Poeee and others put in to keep us going but I know for a fact that this costs money to host and keep going.
I know they aren't going to ask for it but I am putting up the suggestion that a few if not all of us make a donation to keep the site going. If we all put forward a small donation of $10 I think that would cover the costs.
Any thoughts?

There needs to be a PayPal donation setup like other Mini forums have, I will donate if it was that easy.

Right o boys,,,,,

We know you didn't ask for it but the people have spoken. Can we have a paypal account pls. For those who cant or don't want to pay, so be it. I don't think it should be compulsory to be a member on here. We will get enough of a following from those who choose to pay.

POEEE?

Can you get this started pls.
G.

what if there's added incentive to donate... i know there shouldn't be a need but hey even something simple like a little star in the custom title to show your a donating member might encorage other's to jump on the band wagon. also +1 on paypal as its just easier

Sounds like a good idea to me! I've rebuilt my gearbox, clutch, brakes and half of my electronics from info from this site - must be worth at least $10 ;)

I think it should be voluntary and transparent.

I would hate to chase off a miniac and their valuable written contributions because he/she is a student/jobless/pension recipient that is too embarrassed to show that they can't afford to contribute financially.

Maybe donations over a set value can receive an Ausmini sticker or something.

I think the best way would be to do stickers for donations > $10 etc...

Well, honestly.
I'm happy to give $10, but there hasn't been a sticker run on here since I've been around, so I really want a sticker, haha!

Thanks all, we appreciate the idea. With the stickers, I'm keen to get all over them, its good to get something in return for your thoughts. Scott's still here, but is stepping away from the site a little to take on other challenges.

Life's been busy for all of us the last few months professionally, Simon's work has been huge, but he's also stuck up in the boondocks for work too..

I've got a sticker place staked out, but just haven't dropped in. I'll put it to number two on my list, how about that ? :P

I've got one more large cat to strangle first...
