Many thanks goes out to Sam W for creating the new board theme "Ausmini". There's been a lot of work on his part to get it to this stage, so its no small achievement :)

He's put in a number of subtle touches you may notice. The thread wiggling icons, the ghosted Ausmini logo in the background, the bottom of the page tells you Ausmini is "Powered by quad hamsters in stainless steel, ball bearing cages"

It looks really great, so many thanks goes out for Sam's great work. Subsilver is still available of course through user settings.

I'll get some new banner images from you guys if you are keen to have your work up at the top of the screen. if you can get them as close to 808px x 110pxm, then they will drop straight in.

cheers

Mick

yeah, it's kinda niche market.

BTW, If there's a theme out there on the internets you would like to use, let me know with a link to the download and I can add it to the options quite easily.

Kinda like the sepia / vintage theme of yesteryear and not to sure about the rocking boats.
But I do like the speed of the new hampster.
So my thanks to all those that put in the enormous effort to get it so good.

The rocking cars can be a bit frustrating as they continue to rock as long as there is any unread posts in a thread. So some threads with over 4000 pages will continue to rock....

If you know you're not going to read any of the unread posts, then on the main page on the right there is a "Mark Forums read" button. Pressing this will get rid of all the rocking icons.

Looks fantastic. Really wondered where I was the other day.

Quick q - I think it's a bit late now, but would it have been a bit more logical on the boards to make the orange ones unread and the grey as read?

It follows the design of the top nav bar, makes it obvious what threads you haven't read, and makes a bit more sense when you have "bright" for unread" and "dull" for read. Just my two cents.

What do you guys think?

Edit:

I found the one you were referring to. I've changed it out to the grey mini, well spotted ;)
