Hi, we can now CNC your combustion chambers for road heads, race heads.

When servicing the head the chambers can be brought back to equal capacities.

The chambers are designed on the flow bench to suit 1.4ins up to 1.460ins.

We are now working on small bore heads as well.

These chambers are done on brand new castings and we have some new castings for 1275 and 202 small bore heads.

Are you saying you only do it on brand new (NOS) heads or can you do it on any head pulled out of any old pile?

CNC ports as well? A mate of mine has just got a full program set up for Evo motor heads, $7k for the CNC program for ports and chambers. Need lots of heads to spread that cost over or one racer with a no-limit budget.

No The chambers are only done by CNC the ports and all other grinding done by hand,to do a full castiron head would be very expencive because of the amount of times you have to go over it to get it very accurate as it is harder to machine castiron than alloy the very expencive alloy heads are machined two to three times for best results,and CNC heads are only as good as the person programing the machine

Bit of a silly question but is it possible with all the 3D scanners and stuff these days to just get a few old heads that have had the hours spent on them making big ports and chambers and scan their chambers and give that info to the CNC machine?

If you went to the trouble of CAMing a head why did you take a step back and use a flow bench?.
Most CAD programs have some sort of Air flow simulation that will be infinitely more accurate than you could ever get with a flow bench.
You could settle that shrouded valves debate once and for all.
