Members I'm looking at buying another mini (Morris minimatic) can I get some pointers on what to look out for at when I inspect this car thanks again

Weakest point in these autoboxes when they get old is the forward clutch. Check for slip or shudder in forward gears under load. It is easy to fix though, can do on the floor (engine out) without taking the engine off the box.
Also check it doesn't `flare' (rev) bad going 3rd-4th- that's usually the top & reverse clutch going. Big job...

If you drive a matic, change the oil & filter often (1500 miles- dirty acidic oil is the clutch facings enemy). Use cheapo 20W/50- nothing fancy, and synthetic is out.
