Tried a new cap still leaks.

typical mini thing? Any DIY way to fix this?
I would still like to fill my tank lol.

Yer u need to make a cork gasket for the cap mine doesn't leak at all

g'day mate depending on the cap (some you cant put a gasket on my locking cap was like this) i changed back to an original cap and then get some cork from im not sure if there in the vrs kits or full gaskit kits im not sure just a piece of cork about the size of your backing plates you cut a circle out of them the same size the inside your cap and then put it on ill try take a photo of mine tomorrow and put it up for you. its hard at first but wears in.

I had this problem. I got hold of some "fuel safe" rubber about 2-3mm thich, disambled the (aftermarket) locking fuel cap and used the old rubber as a template to cut a new gasket then simply just reassemble the cap with both old and new rubbers to make it thicker.
It's very easy to do and it's working fine.
I still have about one metrer left, if you need some pm me.
