Hi Folks

I have imported my mini from the UK but having some trouble getting the Roadworthy.

It has failed on an oil leak (well, it is a mini) and the rear subframe has some rust. I don't have all my tools or a garage to sort these issues out so need a mini friendly workshop to do the work for me.

Anyone have any recommendations for places in and around Melbourne?

Cheers
Darren

Maybe because its the first time it's been on the road over here they are been extra strict? Back in the UK I had to get it an MOT (UK Roadworthy) every year. I was surprised to learn I don't need to here in Victoria.

Here are a couple of pics of the car before I shipped it:

There's some businesses listed here. Personally I have used Link for parts and service and would recommend them.

Yeah its a vinyl roof on runners that fully opens up. It's also electric so opens/closes easily.

Was an option over in the UK and supplied by a company called 'Webasto'.

Not had any issues with leaks, although in the UK I never took the mini out of the garage if the weather was too bad.

I'm in in Southbank but the car is currently at a workshop in Bayswater.

I have just got a 28 day unregistered permit so I can move the car around. Looking on Google maps I can see that Link Automotive are not too far from Bayswater so might make sense taking it there.

I will give them a call today and see what they say.

Cheers

You cant go wrong with Link, let Brian or Ben do their magic, good operators and reasonable to deal with.
