It is indigo blue, dad says he thinks it does have mk2 flares, but thank you for having a look.
Thank you mr fail from brassy to get the photo working as well.

Few pics to encourage you. :D

It's true, Indigo Blue really is one of the nicest colours. Pretty sure this one is Indigo Blue. This ones a 68.

Not uncommon to have flares fitted on a Mk1, even with the standard wheels there was the risk of being pinged by the cops for tyres beyond guards without them.

Dad said if I can get mine/his like that he will be proud of me, what do you do with the petrol, do you have a petrol converter or do you use the stuff you buy at the petrol station?
Jaxi.

Jaxi - whilst viewing that photo in your Photobucket account you will see a section on the right with the heading "Links to share this photo". Just click in the last field (IMG) which will copy the link to your clipboard, then paste that link into your message in Ausmini.

Voila !!

Hi Winabbey.
Thank you for helping me with that.
Dad says the police mini's are the ultimate mini to have, dads friends dad was a policeman and had one of those mini's and he hated trucks and he found a few on the highway one time and the trucks boxed him in and got closer and closer then he just pulled out and rolled the mini.
And that is the only person he knew that rolled a mini.
Jaxi.

You're on a winner here Jaxi. Defo one of the best colours to have!

It has to be said, there's undoubtedly a whole heap of us guys "over a certain age" holding our breath and murmuring with hushed tones, "I hope this one doesn't end up with sub woofer and Holden paint and head-rest seats and..."

Really do hope you keep it original!!!

And then there are some of us who bought an S because it was cheaper than a second hand Datsun 1200.... and the only people that drove standard Minis were those driving their Mum or Dad's car ..or lacked imagination..

Just a thought...

Cheers, Ian

I am keeping it original no sub woofers or Holden paint.
Dad bought this car for $1000, dad thinks the colour is a nice colour, but why is it so popular?
Jaxi.

I think I am going to be sick!

It is a great colour, many of the colours of the time were murky greens, pastels etc... Indigo is lighter than marine blue and it just looks great in the sun!
